Promotional Film – Davidoff

In the summer of 2011, QTV Filmatography started the incredible journey of creating a Davidoff advert. In the first trip their adventure began in Germany, crossing the border later to Switzerland to film several Davidoff factories, and the machinery involved in creating Davidoff watches, leather goods and pens. Left mesmerised by the experience, you will see there is a remarkable attention to detail required in creating perfection.

On the second trip a group of five cameramen, a wonderful driver who brought down all the equipment from the UK, Donny, the model, and the stylist, Lisa, flew to Italy to start the boat scene in Lake Garda. The scenery was simply spectacular. Having feared the weather, it actually worked in their favour as the clouds hung low creating a lost moment in time and an unidentifiable location. Using a second boat and a helicopter they were able to provide the ultimate coverage. The following day they drove to Switzerland to commence the car shoot with a classic Jaguar E type. The night before the shoot they were instructed that the pass they had intended to use had been closed as large amounts of snow had fallen making it unsafe. This anxious moment lasted a total of five minutes as an even better location once used in a James Bond movie came to light.

The whole shoot was a great success, all members of the advert working extremely well together and having so much fun at the same time. The films captivate the beauty that Davidoff embodies and will help provide a marketing platform to re-iterate their strength in the industry.
